Frequently asked questions about Recovery Shake Powders

Can you make the flavor of the Recovery Shake Powder more intense?

It is difficult to have an intense, fruity taste in a powder product. During the drying process, many of the volatile aromas of the fruit are lost along with the water. And in a product with a low fat and sugar content, it is an additional challenge to naturally enhance the aroma intensity of the aromas present in the finished product.

It doesn't work by just adding more flavors. The perception of the aroma intensity is primarily related to the sweetness, which we work with a lot of restraint in the Recovery Shake Powder. We don't add any sugar or artificial sweeteners.

The fat content also plays a major role in the perception of aromas. You will notice this when the shakes are made with milk or a milk substitute containing fat. The aroma is immediately more intense due to the higher fat content and also due to the sweetness of the milk or the milk substitute.

During development, we have not yet managed to make the aroma more intense without losing its naturalness or functionality.

Why does my drink from your Recovery Shake Powder foam so strongly?

Whey proteins have a foam-forming and foam-stabilizing effect. The more native the proteins, the stronger the foam formation. Our whey proteins are very native, which is good for their effect in the body, but unfortunately creates a stronger foam.

Other manufacturers counteract the foam with defoamer. However, since this is an artificial additive, this is out of the question for us. We have tried to optimize the recipes in such a way that the foam is naturally weakened. Mixing with milk, which contains milk fat, makes the foam more homogeneous.

If the foam bothers you, we also recommend preparing the drink an hour before consumption or simply before training and then chilling it. Then it's perfect when you're done with your workout.
